Photo Studio Rental in Espoo

Location: Ulappakatu 1 LT 20, Espoo (Espoonlahti).

NOTE! Studio rental has been discontinued for now due to changes in how we need to use the space.

You'll find the studio most easily by coming via Tahystajankatu 2 and turning right at the corner of the building toward the Lippulaiva shopping centre. The studio (Northern Art Photos) is located at the corner of the building's walkthrough passage (Business unit 20, in Building G). The location is between the Pikkulaiva shopping centre and the Lippulaiva reconstruction site.

An affordable, versatile studio available to rent at short notice within the shop's opening hours. I'll add photos and more detailed information soon!

The studio space is approx. 3.8 m high, 7 m long and approx. 2.8 m wide; the backdrops/background papers reach from the floor up to 2.65 - 3 m high (depending on the height of the backdrop stand). You also have access to a toilet, a kitchen with dishware, a fridge and a microwave.

In the studio you have access to, among other things:

  • 6 background papers/backdrops (2.7 m wide): all on roller stands, so easy to swap
    • matte black (Black 44)
    • white (Arctic White 93)
    • grey (Shadow grey LP9027)
    • sea blue (Lagoon 06)
    • orange (Mandarin 39)
    • "Christmas" red (Crimson 27)
    • Washington grey (patterned)
  • 1x Elinchrom RX one
  • 1x Elinchrom RX 2
  • 2x Elinchorme D-Lite 2 it
  • Elinchrom EL-Skyport, which lets you control the studio lights
  • 30° and 50° Grid set 16 cm (honeycomb)
  • Softboxes 50x70 cm (honeycomb available), 60x60 cm 2 pcs, 30x160 cm (honeycomb available)
  • Elinchrom COMPLETE Translucide Deflector Set 14 cm
  • Umbrellas: Quadralite gold 91 cm, white shoot-through, silver reflective
  • CamLink Dolly (wheels for the studio stand for easier moving)
  • Quadralite Boom S boom stand (handy for supporting a hair light, among other things)
  • Zoom H1 recorder + Rode lavalier microphone (2 sets)
  • Antique chairs; 1 with armrests and 2 without
  • 2x Camera tripod
  • Product photography table with various surfaces
  • Macro focusing rail

All of the equipment listed above is included in the rental - the rate is €40 / h, with a minimum charge of €80 (2 h). The price includes 25.5% VAT.

For an additional fee, we can provide more thorough guidance on using the equipment, help with settings, and so on. Camera and lens accessories (Canon EF) are also available to rent.

The equipment is insured, but in the event of damage the excess (deductible) is the responsibility of the person who caused it. Background papers wear and crease easily, so I reserve the right to charge €10 / m for paper that becomes worn or soiled.

Alongside the studio, we offer a huge range of varied, top-quality print products! Special prices apply to them when you use the studio. I'm also generally keen to set up collaborations with other photographers, so by all means ask for more details! :)
