Barn at Haukiniemi - Canvas wrap
Canvas wraps are impressive for interior decoration.
Photo is printed on high quality canvas and stretched around a wood frame. Hanging string is attached behind the canvas.
Tuotekuvaus
Canvas print will be made on a high quality Canvas-material and stretched around 4cm thick (Premium 3D) glulam frame. Note! Small sizes are stretched around 2cm wedge frame. Image folds around the frame edge, making a three dimensional look.
Material and printing
The canvas is Hahnemühle's high-grade cotton-based Cézanne 430 g/m² art canvas, onto which the photograph is printed with a Canon 12-colour LUCIA PRO ink fine-art printer. The image has exceptionally authentic colour reproduction and a matte surface that does not glare distractingly at any angle. When stored properly, the colours will not fade for years.
The canvas is hand-stretched onto either a Finnish 20 mm stretcher frame or a 40 mm laminated-wood frame. The edges fold around the frame and the canvas is stapled at the back of the picture - the image is slightly three-dimensional and visible from every side. A hanging wire and, if needed, corner brackets are fitted to the back of the frame to keep the picture more firmly straight.
On scale and placement
65×40 and 90x60cm cm are among the most common sizes for a single living-room wall, and they can also be combined into a multi-picture arrangement, perhaps alongside 40x40cm or 60x60cm square pictures. A 150×45 cm also works on its own above a sofa or bed. A 115×75 cm or larger, on the other hand, makes a more dramatic single artwork that becomes the eye-catcher of the space. Compare the scale in the "Scale in a room" section below to get a sense of the size of the pictures.

Frequently Asked Questions
Here we have gathered the most common questions about canvas prints. If you can't find an answer, don't hesitate to get in touch.
All of our canvas prints are printed on high-quality 430 g/m² Hahnemühle Cézanne art canvas. The canvas is acid-free and archival quality, so your image will retain its colours and sharpness for a long time.
Printing is done using Canon's LUCIA PRO ink system (12 separate ink cartridges), which guarantees authentic colour tones and a stunning result.
We offer two frame options:
- Glued-wood frame (4 cm thick) - The premium option. FSC-certified wood, two strips glued together. Particularly strong, it doesn't warp or twist even in large sizes.
- Wedge frame (2 cm thick) - The more affordable option. Includes wedges that let you re-tension the canvas over time if needed.
Both models come with a hanging wire fitted to the back ready to go - the print is ready to hang straight away.
The surface is matte, which is typical and traditional for canvas prints. A matte surface doesn't reflect light, so the colours of the image show well from every viewing angle and in all lighting conditions.
The product page shows the standard size options, which are optimised for each image's aspect ratio. However, you can also order prints as custom-made work:
- Glued-wood frame to 1 cm precision, up to several metres in size
- Wedge frame stock dimensions to 5 cm precision, available in 1 cm increments. max. 120 cm

Yes! Take a look at our category of products made from your own photos. You can upload your own image right in your browser using the product page's image editor - your image is checked automatically and you'll get instructions if the resolution isn't sufficient for the desired size.
Alternatively, you can also browse the millions of free images in the Pixabay image bank directly from the editor.
Usually yes. Photos from modern smartphones work well for medium-sized prints (up to 100 cm). The important thing is to send the original photo - images sent via WhatsApp or Messenger, for example, get compressed and won't be good enough in quality.
A rough guideline: the image should be around 50 pixels per centimetre of your desired size. For a 60 cm wide print, for example, we recommend a width of at least 3000 pixels.
The product page's image editor checks the image automatically and warns you if the resolution isn't sufficient. You can still order it in a smaller size if you like!
Canvas prints are made to order, so the delivery time is typically 1-2 weeks. During busy periods (Christmas, Mother's and Father's Day) the delivery time may be slightly longer.
We ship the order via Matkahuolto, and you'll receive a tracking code in your email as soon as the parcel is on its way.
You can find more detailed information on our delivery methods page.

The hanging wire is already fitted to the back of the print, so all you need is a wall hook or nail in the wall.
Instructions by wall type:
- Plasterboard / drywall - an ordinary hook or nail is enough for prints under 5 kg. For larger ones, use a plasterboard anchor or threaded stud.
- Brick / concrete - drill in an anchor and screw.
- Wooden wall (log, panelling) - screw straight into the wood.
We recommend using a spirit level (a phone app works too) to make sure the print hangs straight.
Neither is recommended. Canvas fabric withstands moderate humidity well, but the matte black ink is water-soluble and can cause colour faults if wiped while damp. A stretched wooden frame can begin to warp due to strong fluctuations in humidity.
A canvas print gathers dust over time. Cleaning is simple:
- Dust: Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid pressing hard.
- Stubborn dirt: Avoid scrubbing and all liquid substances, so that the black ink doesn't spread and so that no scuff marks are left on the canvas.
- Avoid: chemical cleaning, alcohol, ammonia, abrasive sponges - these can damage the canvas and the printed surface.
Never vacuum the print directly - vacuum brushes can scratch it.
The Canon LUCIA PRO colours we use are archival quality and withstand light extremely well. In normal indoor lighting the image stays good for a lifetime - the equipment and material manufacturers promise as much as 100+ years of lightfastness.
However, direct sunlight over the course of decades can affect any paints and prints. If the print is in direct sunlight daily, we recommend choosing a hanging spot where the light doesn't fall on the image constantly.
Standard products in the range have a 30-day right of return, provided the product is in its original packaging and in resaleable condition.
Custom-made canvas prints or those made from your own photos cannot, under consumer protection law, be returned unless there is a manufacturing defect. This is an exception for tailor-made products in accordance with the EU directive.
If there is a manufacturing defect or transport damage, we'll send a replacement free of charge. Contact our customer service immediately.
We check every image before production. If the image's resolution isn't sufficient for the size you want, we'll contact you before manufacturing - you can then either:
- Switch to a smaller size
- Send a sharper version of the image
- Accept that the image may look slightly softer at a large size
- Cancel the order free of charge
Your payment is refunded if you cancel the order at this stage - nobody likes paying for a product they're not happy with the quality of.
Yes, you can request a digital proof when ordering - write about it in the order comment field. We'll send a JPG proof to your email before we begin production of the order. You may receive a request for approval if needed regarding the image cropping or colour adjustments.
This is especially recommended when ordering from your own photo for the first time or when the image is important (e.g. a gift).
